Merry Christmas on Bike, allied to improve Mobility in Granada: Take care of it
During this course, has been joined project STARS two new educational centers: CEP Arrayanes and IES Ángel Ganivet.
We continue with adquired commitment of the City Council of Granada, through Mobility Area and its Educational Center in Road Safety, to encourage active displacements on schoolchilds through European Project STARS. Three centers adhered last course obtained Bronze Medal due to its high involvement and innovative projects.
This course have been adhered two new STARS centers:
- Primary educational center ARRAYANES (located in North area of our city)
- IES ANGEL GANIVET (located in the Center area of the city)
They have began their course encouraging active displacements, WISHING A MERRY CHRISTMAS with their bikes (victims of many vandalic acts not understood between schoolchilds that see bicycles as a allied , that contribute to improve health both for the city and themselves) and skates, youngest ones.
They trust that their districts belongs to them and can enjoy it with their friends and non polluting ways when going to and from school.
Students from school ARRAYANES made a route on skates and as pedestrians around the school center ranging from origin and destination of their private residences. This route accompanied by specialists of the Municipal Educational Center on Road Safety and teachers, was educational and very welcomed in the district that get the message to make autonomous displacements of schoolchilds and the district to be more coexistence between people than between engines.
Students denominated Embassadors of Project STARS of IES Ángel Ganivet accompanied by two teachers Champion, the Ciclyst Unit of Municipal Police and teaching staff in Road Safety Center, promote the use of bicycle with a wide urban route to their school centers, always with a high educational charge to initiate in a major autonomy on bike displacements supported by SAFETY that involve the fulfillment of regulation.
All schoolchilds decorated their bikes and skates with Christmas ornaments as a gesture of SOLIDARITY with hired bicycles and vandalic acts the have been victim of.
