Teaching bicyle routes through the historical center of the city
The City Council of Granada, joining european project STARS, educates on bicycle routes through the historical city center of Granada.
The City Council of Granada trhough its Educational Center in Road Safety (Mobility), besides teaching for 6 consecutive years Cyclists Workshops in those Educational Centers, has joined Project STARS to encourage substainable and healthy displacements, teaching to be safer.
Two educational centers: IES Ángel Ganivet and Juan XXIII Chana have recieved a theoretical-practical course in the Educational Center in Road Safety facilities and afterwards have made a route around the historical city center, where coexistence with traffic present more difficulties for schoolchilds. There have been accompanied by their teachers and the cooperation of the Cyclist Unit of Local Police.
The purpose of these activities is to claim the role of the bicycle as vehicle in the city and educate safer and caring drivers.
